Shogakukan 's Big Comic magazine  announced in its 11th issue that Yukinobu Hoshino 's Munakata Kyōju Sekai-hen manga will be going on a month-long hiatus . The good news, however, is that the return is confirmed for July 10 , with the publication of a new chapter accompanied by color pages .

A saga of mythological and cultural exploration

The work is part of the renowned Munakata Kyōju series , which follows the investigations of Professor Munakata , an anthropology expert who studies cultural myths and legends , unraveling how these stories influence and reflect a parallel history of humanity.

Munakata Kyōju Sekai-hen began serialization in February 2023 in Big Comic magazine , and its fifth compiled book volume was released on January 30 of this year.

A career marked by science fiction and mystery

Yukinobu Hoshino is also widely recognized for his science fiction work 2001 Nights , serialized between 1984 and 1986. This work was adapted into two OVAs, one in 1987 and another in 2009, with international distribution by Funimation and Manga Entertainment .

The author's career also includes titles such as Rainman , which concluded in January 2018, and Munakata Kyōju Denkikō (1994-1999), followed by Munakata Kyōju Ikōroku (2004-2010), consolidating a saga that mixes history, culture and mystery .

A promising return

Fans of the series can rest assured, as the hiatus will be brief , and the return will include special material. July 10th will mark the return of Professor Munakata to his travels and cultural revelations, this time with the addition of color pages that will surely enrich the viewing experience of the series.
