The
official website of the Anime Punirunes Puni 3, third season based on the
Takara Tomy toys line, confirmed a new promotional image, a new voice actress
and its premiere date in Japan on Friday. The expected return will occur on
July 5 at 09:45 (Japanese local time), which is equivalent to 02:45 in Spain
(UTC+2), through TV Tokyo and five other affiliated chains.
A new
member arrives in the world of Punirunes
In this
third installment the actress Fūka Izumi is added, who will give voice to the
character Jewelrun. With this incorporation, the cast continues to grow to
explore new adventures and emotions in the charming universe of these soft
characters.
What is Punirunes?
The
franchise is inspired by the punirune interactive toys, known for allowing the
user to take care of virtual creatures with a unique peculiarity: they have a
hole where you can introduce the finger to "caress" the soft
characters of the interior. In Japanese, Puni-Puni represents something soft
and spongy, and that concept is reflected both the toy and the series.
The history
of the anime revolves around the punirunes, mysterious creatures that worship
affection, and Yuka, a fourth grade girl obsessed with everything that is soft
and adorable. Together they live small adventures full of tenderness,
friendship and fantasy.
A creative
team with recognized names
The first
season was broadcast between October 2022 and March 2023, followed by the
second in October 2023. Kunihiko Yuyama (Pokémon, Minky Momo) was the general
director of the first installment, with Kentarō Yamaguchi in charge of the
direction under the OLM Digital study. The scripts were the work of Gigaemon
Ichikawa, while Sayuri Ichiishi (Pokémon, Tamagotchi!) Designed the characters.
The musical theme “Puni Puni Punirunes Punix Version” was played by Nanahira.
A success
that crosses borders
Since
September 2023, the Spin Master company began transmitting anime on YouTube and
distributing toys in the United States, thus expanding the scope of the brand
beyond Japan. The franchise is positioned as one of the favorites within the
children's segment thanks to its originality, visual sweetness and positive
values.
With a
third season on the way, Punirunes continues to grow as a phenomenon that
combines technology, tenderness and family entertainment.
