Shueisha
Manga Plus Service has begun to publish the first four English chapters of the
manga The Nito Exorcists (original title: Nito no Joreishi), work of the
mangaka Hiromi Ichikawa. To commemorate this international launch, the author
shared a special illustration celebrating the occasion.
What is The
Nito Exorcists about?
The plot
revolves around Gotsuji and Uruka, a duo of exorcists who face evil spirits
daily in different missions. However, their clashes are not simple orders: both
are united by a tragic past and a revenge mission. His goal is to eliminate a
specific spirit that ended the life of a woman very close to them.
The dynamic
between both protagonists is as intense as disconcerting. While Uruka observes
in amazement the actions and decisions of Gotsuji, he cannot avoid joining him
in his tireless persecution. The manga combines supernatural fighting, moments
of peculiar comedy (as exorcisms in bunny costumes), and a strong emotional
component derived from the desire for justice.
A new
ascent title within Young Jump
Hiromi
Ichikawa launched this series in Weekly Young Jump last October 2024. Since
then, he has begun to gain notoriety among readers for their dynamic style,
well choreographed action scenes and a refreshing approach to the genus Occult
Action.
The first
compilation volume was published by Shueisha on April 17, 2025, which is
equivalent to April 16 at 5:00 p.m. during the peninsular schedule of Spain
(UTC+2). With the incorporation to Manga Plus, the manga is now available for a
global audience, opening the doors to a much broader audience outside of Japan.
What to
expect from this series?
The Nito
Exorcists promises to be an ideal story for lovers of supernatural mystery,
psychological drama and spiritual duels. In addition to its esoteric elements,
it stands out for its complex characters and an atmosphere that oscillates
between the ridiculous and the gloomy, which gives it a distinctive seal within
the current catalog of Manga Plus.
If you are
looking for a new series with an intriguing narrative, constant action and a
touch of emotional darkness, The Nito Exorcists could become your next
obsession.
