During a
special event, Kadokawa revealed new details about the highly anticipated
fourth season of the anime Re:ZERO - Starting Life in Another World. The series
will officially return sometime in 2026, accompanied by a new promotional
image, as well as two new characters that will expand the anime's most intense
isekai universe.
Shaula, the New Addition to the Cast
One of the
big surprises was the introduction of the character Shaula, who will be played
by popular voice actress Fairouz Ai. In the teaser video released by Kadokawa,
you can see this mysterious figure whose appearance promises to shake up the
fate of Subaru and company.
Additionally,
it was confirmed that actress Konomi Kohara will also join the cast of episode
66 of the anime, playing Rui, another previously unseen character in the story.
The music
will once again be produced by Kadokawa, ensuring continuity in the emotional
and epic tone that characterizes the franchise.
Re:ZERO, a phenomenon that continues to expand
Since its
original premiere in April 2016, Re:ZERO has established itself as one of the
benchmarks of the isekai genre. With three full seasons, two OVAs (Memory Snow
and The Frozen Bond), multiple spin-offs such as Re:PETIT and Starting Break
Time From Zero, and a special Director's Cut edition that renewed the first
season in 2020, Tappei Nagatsuki's work has continued to grow.
The third
season, divided into the "Shūgeki-hen" (Attack Arc) and
"Hangeki-hen" (Counterattack Arc) arcs, premiered between October
2023 and February 2024, with special broadcasts and limited screenings in
Japanese theaters.
Crunchyroll
continues to be the official streaming platform for international audiences,
including Spain, where it has maintained a pace of nearly simultaneous releases
since its inception.

The
addition of new characters like Shaula and Rui, coupled with the return of the
original crew, heralds a season full of emotions, narrative twists, and more
challenges for Subaru. While an exact date is still pending, fans are already
