Sung Hoo Park returns with Bullet/Bullet

As we mentioned in a previous news item , the ambitious original anime " Bullet/Bullet ", directed by Sung Hoo Park , will premiere on July 16 with its first eight episodes available exclusively through Disney Plus , while the remaining four episodes will arrive on August 13. We also remember that this story will be screened in Japanese theaters in the form of two films.

Well, now, more details have been revealed, further raising fans' hype, starting with the release of the second promotional video. This new trailer begins with a powerful battle cry, then immediately plunges us into a whirlwind of adrenaline with the previously announced main theme song "WORK HARD," performed by Chanmina.

The trailer shows the protagonists facing formidable enemies and dangerous plots, with action-packed scenes such as massive explosions, intense shootouts, and tense confrontations, all accompanied by the powerful lines of the protagonist Gear, who seems to stop at nothing. At the end of the trailer, you can also hear a preview of the ending theme song, titled "Glass Door," performed by the Japanese rock band Newspeak. Regarding their participation, Newspeak commented as follows:

  • On this occasion, we are deeply honored that Newspeak was chosen to perform the ending song for "BULLET/BULLET." Production began after receiving a passionate request from director Park and the rest of the crew: "We would like you to freely express, in the Newspeak style, what you felt when you watched BULLET/BULLET."

  • We were deeply moved by the image of the characters, who run determinedly in search of hope in a suffocating world, and we tried to capture that resonance in our music. I'm convinced that, through this anime, many people will be able to find a light in their own lives. And if our music manages to amplify that resonance even a little, we will be very happy.

Bullet takes us to a post-apocalyptic future where a young thief named Gear, who recovers stolen goods, sees his life change when he meets Noa, a mysterious girl being hunted by assassins. This nonstop action story features a script by Aki Kindaichi, character designs, and animation direction by Takahiro Yoshimatsu.

And if that weren't enough, fans will also be able to experience this story on the big screen: the first film, "Dangan Shissou-hen (Bullet Run Arc)," will be released on July 25, while the second, "Dangan Kessen-hen (Bullet Final Battle Arc)," will hit theaters on August 15. Are you ready to go full throttle with this story? Because Bullet/Bullet doesn't seem to be taking his foot off the gas.
