The animated feature film Toi-san wa Seishun Shitai! "Baka to Smartphone to Romance to", based on the short series created by Jel of the VTubers group Strawberry Prince, presented its main visual in the run-up to its premiere scheduled for July 18, 2025 in Japan (UTC+2).
A youth
out of control
The story
revolves around Akane Toi, nicknamed by her classmates as "Toi-san",
a high school girl who dreams of having a typical school experience. But his
expectations quickly crumble when he meets Jel, a handsome student
whose eccentricity, like that of the rest of the class, turns every day into a
comedy show filled with stand-up routines and absurd situations.
In the
film, Toi-san is involved in the activities of the enigmatic "Youth
Romance Club", whose mission is to discover everything that holds
an air of youth and romance. Of course, this will
only lead to even more crazy situations.
A team
full of talent
The film is
directed by Mankyu (The Ice Guy and His Cool Female
Colleague) at the Seven Arcs studio. The script is written
by Yoichi Kato (THE IDOLM@STER Million Live!), the
character designs were done by Akemi Kobayashi (Love After
World Domination), while the music is composed by Hiromi Mizutani (Food
for the Soul).
The main
visual shows Toi-san in the center, surrounded by her crazy classmates,
anticipating the emotional and humorous chaos that this student
romantic comedy promises.
