A story
of revenge and redemption from the abyss
Gachiakuta is directed by Fumihiko
Suganuma (Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai), with composition
by Hiroshi Seko (DAN DA DAN) and character design
by Satoshi Ishino (Godzilla Singular Point). The
original manga was created by Kei Urana together with graffiti
artist Hideyoshi Ando.
The story
follows Rudo, a young outcast who lives in the slums of a floating
city. After being falsely accused of murder, he is thrown into the
"Well", an abyss where waste ends up and where monsters born from
garbage dominate the terrain. To survive and take revenge on those who
condemned him, Rudo must master a new power and join the "Cleaners", an
organization dedicated to confronting the beasts of the abyss. The anime
premieres on Crunchyroll on July 6, 2025,
simultaneously with Japan, with dubbing available from day one.
