The series plans its exclusive premiere at Amazon Prime Video Japan on July 8 at 12:30 (local time), which corresponds to July 7 at 5:30 p.m. (Spain's time).

A luxury and talent cast behind animation

The anime, produced by Kyoto Animation, will have an extensive cast of voices that includes:

Mikako Komatsu as Midori Nagumo

Aki toyosaki like niikura

Yui Ishikawa as Wako Izumi

Miyu Irino, Azusa Tadokoro, Kenn, Takehito Koyasu and many more

The series will premiere on Japanese television on July 7 at 5:00 p.m. (Spain) in Tokyo MX, followed by broadcasts in ABC TV, TV Aichi and BS11.

The creative team behind City

Taichi Ishidate (known by Violet Evergarden) directs this project, which marks Kyoto Animation's first anime in six years. The animation is carried out by outstanding figures such as:

Tamami Tokuyama as characters designer and animation director

Shiori Yamazaki as art director

Yōta Tsuruoka as sound director

The Piranhans group is in charge of the musical composition, while the closing song, entitled "Lucky", will be played by singer -songwriter Tomoo.

A chaotic and endearing story

City transports us to a city that is not like any other. In it, absurd, moving and loaded moments are intertwined, with eccentric characters that live unpredictable everyday situations. As described by the study: "An ordinary life ... but unpredictable. Welcome to City!"

From manga to anime

The original manga was published between 2016 and 2021 in the Morning magazine of Kodansha, ending with 13 compilation volumes. In December 2023, the series made its temporary return to the pages of the magazine.

The English edition was published by Kodansha USA and is also available in digital format through the K manga platform.

With a first -level cast, a creative team awarded and the quality seal of Kyoto Animation, City the Animation promises to be one of the most refreshing and chaotically fun series of the summer season.
