The
official website of the anime My Friend's Little Sister Has It In for
Me! (Tomodachi no Imōto ga Ore ni Dake Uzai) revealed its first
promotional video and a new visual image on Monday,
generating expectation among fans of the light romantic comedy.
A
premiere confirmed for October
The series
is scheduled to premiere in October on TV Asahi and
23 other affiliated networks within the NUMAnimation programming
block, popular for airing high-profile series during Japanese nights.
A
history of love entanglements and misunderstandings
The plot
follows Akiteru Ooboshi, a boy who is convinced that girls only
bother him with no romantic intentions. His main goal is to help his video game
development group get an opportunity in his uncle's company. However,
everything changes when her uncle imposes a condition on her: to pretend to
be his daughter's boyfriend. Not only does this complicate his
plans, but it also sparks unexpected reactions from Iroha Kohinata,
his best friend's sister, who constantly annoys him.
An experienced production team
The
direction is in charge of Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend),
under the BLADE studio. Tōko Machida (Lucky
Star) is in charge of the script, and Katsuyuki Sato (My
Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex) is in charge of character design.
An
expanding franchise
The light
novel, written by Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by tomari,
debuted in April 2019. SB Creative published its 11th
volume on March 15. The manga adaptation, drawn by Hira
Hiraoka, is published on Square Enix's Manga UP! website
and already has nine compilation volumes, the last one released
on March 7.
