The
official website of the anime The Banished Court Magician Aims to
Become the Strongest (Mikata ga Yowasugite Hojo Mahō ni Tesshiteita
Kyūtei Mahōshi) announced the addition of actor Masaaki Mizunaka,
who will voice the character Ornest Rain. To celebrate the news,
new illustrations of the character were also revealed.
An
increasingly complete cast
In addition
to Mizunaka, the cast already includes Shūichirō Umeda as Alec
Ygret, Yurika Kubo as Yorha Eisenz and Masumi
Tazawa as Krasia Annerose. The series will premiere in
October, every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. (Spanish time), within
the IMAnimation programming block.
A production with important names
The
direction is in charge of Ken Takahashi (Ragna Crimson),
with Masamune Hirata as assistant director. The script will be
in the hands of Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Dropkick on My Devil!),
while Yōko Satō and Nobuhide Hayashi will be
in charge of character design and animation direction. Studio Gekkō leads
the production, with music composed by Diosta inc. and High
Speed Boy inc.
The story
revolves around Alec Ygret, a wizard who dedicated his life to
support magic to help the crown prince clear dungeons. However, he is abruptly
dismissed by the prince himself, who considers someone who only masters support
magic useless. Aimlessly, Alec receives a proposal from his old friend Yorha to
return to the dungeons. This is how he begins his path to becoming the
strongest.
A
franchise that does not stop growing
The
original novel written by Alto was published on the Shōsetsuka
ni Narō site between October 2020 and September 2022. Kodansha released
the first printed volume in August 2021, illustrated by Yuunagi,
and the fifth volume will arrive in August 2024.
The manga,
curated by Yuki Monji, debuted in Magazine Pocket in
July 2021, a month before the release of the print novel. It currently
has 15 compilation volumes, and the English version is published by
Kodansha's K MANGA app.
