The highly
anticipated new "Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt" anime has
revealed its main trailer, a new promotional image, and its
premiere dates, confirming that it will air from July 9 in
Japan. In addition, it will have its world premiere at the Anime Expo
2025, which will be held in Los Angeles on July 4 (July 5
in Spanish time).
The new
project comes from the TRIGGER studio, with an explosive mix
of irreverence, supernatural action and wild comedy. As a novelty, two versions
will be presented: a "censored" one, which will be
broadcast on networks such as Tokyo MX, BS NTV and other
regional networks on July 9, and an "original"
uncensored one that will premiere on AT-X on July 15.
Digital
premiere and availability by platforms
Fans who
prefer streaming will be able to watch the series on Amazon Prime Video
starting July 10. Later, other platforms will be added, although the
version of the series will vary depending on the service used.

New
characters are also integrated: the angel brothers Polyester (voice
of Junya Enoki) and Polyurethane (voice of Yūto Uemura). In
addition, Akeno Watanabe will take on the role of Kneesocks,
and Yūko Natsuyoshi will play Fastener.

as director, accompanied by Hiromi Wakabayashi in script and
planning. The character design continues to be in charge of Atsushi
Nishigori, with the participation of emblematic artists such as Shigeto

Animator Yoh Yoshinari also joins as a "special
stuntman."
The
soundtrack will feature an outstanding cast of musicians, including the already
well-known ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo) and TeddyLoid, as
well as TAKU INOUE, 80KIDZ, KM, TAAR, MONJOE, Yackle,
and others.
A story
that crosses heaven and hell
In the city
of Daten City, a place between heaven and hell, spirits known as
"Ghosts" feed on the darkest human desires. To combat them,
the irreverent and sensual sisters fallen from the sky appear: Panty
& Stocking. Their mission: to purge evil with divine power... although
its true nature remains a mystery. Are they angels saviors or emissaries of
chaos?
A
production with legendary roots
The
original 13-episode anime aired in 2010 under
the direction of Imaishi on GAINAX. His blend of Western style,
electronic music, and provocative narrative made him a cult phenomenon. Now,
with TRIGGER at the helm, the new installment promises to elevate that formula
to new levels.
