The
long-awaited fourth season of Rent-a-Girlfriend (Kanojo,
Okarishimasu) has revealed a new trailer that includes a sneak peek of
its opening theme: "Umitsuki" performed by the duo ClariS,
known for their work in openings such as Nisekoi's.
The trailer
shows protagonist Kazuya facing a compromising poolside
situation, caught between his ex-girlfriend, his current girlfriend (to say the
least), and his surrogate girlfriend. A look that promises romantic
drama and embarrassing moments in this new installment.
Release
and production date
The fourth
season will begin airing on July 4, 2025, and will be available
in simulcast via Crunchyroll shortly after. Kazuomi
Koga returns as director at TMS Entertainment studio,
with Mitsutaka Hirota composing the series. Character design
is in charge of Kanna Hirayama, while Kenichi Maeyamada composes
the music.
A love
story against the clock
Based on
the original manga by Reiji Miyajima, the series follows Kazuya
Kinoshita, a 20-year-old college student who, after a painful breakup,
decides to rent a girlfriend to ease his loneliness. That's how he meets Chizuru
Mizuhara, a beautiful young woman who will end up shaking his world more
than expected. Can anything real come out of a fake relationship?
With a mix
of romantic comedy, sentimental entanglements and endearing characters, Rent-a-Girlfriend is
preparing to continue capturing hearts this summer season.
