The
renowned studio P.A. Works has announced its new original
project for television: Towa no Yugure, a science fiction series
that will premiere in October 2025. The anime will air on the "Super
Animeism Turbo" block of Japanese channels MBS and TBS.
A
high-level team behind the project
The
production is credited to Project FT. The direction and
supervision of scripts will be in charge of Naokatsu Tsuda, known
for his work on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and planetary.
The original character design is by mangaka Midori Tayama (Girl
Crush), and Yoshiko Saitō (Kubo Won't Let Me Be
Invisible, Mushoku Tensei II) will adapt these designs for
animation. The soundtrack will be composed by Masahiro Tokuda,
responsible for works such as Ishura and Platinum End.

A love
story in a desolate future
The story
follows Akira, a high school student who enters a cryogenic dream
and wakes up 200 years later, in a world ravaged by war. Humanity
is now under the control of a unified organization called OWEL, and
the traditional system of marriage has been replaced by a new model
called Elsie (or "LC").
Upon
waking, Akira meets Yugure, an android who bears a striking
resemblance to his former girlfriend, Towasa. Wasting no time,
Yugure proposes to her, leaving Akira completely bewildered. Still, motivated
by the hope that Towasa will still be alive in that future, he decides to
embark on a journey with Yugure to find answers.
