After the
overwhelming premiere of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity
Castle in Japan on July 18, artists Aimer and LiSA released
the official video clips of the main themes of the film on
their respective YouTube channels. In addition, both singles are already
available in physical format in Japan since July 23.
Aimer
sings from the darkness
Aimer, who had already participated with
songs in the Entertainment District Arc, performs "Taiyo ga
Noboranai Sekai", "A world where the sun never rises".
The song was written by Hikaru Kondo, the anime's general producer,
and composed by Go Shiina, one of the main people responsible for
the series' soundtrack.
In an
emotional message, Aimer expressed:
"Go Shiina-san and Hikaru
Kondo-san. These two people, who have given their passion to the anime Demon
Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, entrusted me with this song. I sang it with my own
form of total concentration, trying to reflect the fate of the characters who
transform their pain into strength as they launch themselves into the final
battle. I hope this song reaches those who still struggle in a 'world where the
sun never rises.'"
LiSA
makes a strong comeback
For her
part, LiSA, recognized for performing the first opening of the
series and the main theme of the film Mugen Train, presents "Zankoku
na Yoru ni Kagayake", "Shine in the cruel night". This
powerful song was written and composed by Yuki Kajiura, who has
also been in charge of the music for the franchise.
LiSA also
shared a special message:
"Together with Yuki
Kajiura-san, who has given us so many unforgettable songs in Demon Slayer:
Kimetsu no Yaiba, I head towards Infinity Castle. To all of you who continue to
fight, I sang with prayers and hope. It shines in the cruel night."
The
creative team behind the phenomenon
The
film Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is directed by Haruo
Sotozaki under the animation of the ufotable studio. Akira
Matsushima is in charge of character design and animation direction,
while Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina are again at
the helm of music composition.
What
awaits us in this final battle?
The story
follows Tanjiro Kamado, who after facing countless challenges
alongside his teammates Zenitsu and Inosuke, and
under the guidance of the Hashira, now finds himself in the
ultimate showdown against Muzan Kibutsuji. After an ambush at
the Ubuyashiki Mansion, Tanjiro and the hunters are dragged into an
unknown dimension: the dreaded Infinite Castle.
The film
will hit theaters in the United States and Canada on September
12, while more details about the releases in other countries will be
published on the official website. The TV series, the Mugen Train movie,
and the most recent Hashira Training Arc are all available on Crunchyroll in
subtitled and dubbed formats.
