ClariS premieres the opening of Rent-a-Girlfriend 4 with its new video clip

The popular music unit ClariS has released the official music video for "Umitsuki", their new single number 29, through their official YouTube channel. This pop theme was chosen as the opening theme of the fourth season of the anime Rent-a-Girlfriend, currently airing during the summer season of 2025. This is the first time ClariS has collaborated with the franchise.



A new beginning as a trio


"Umitsuki" also marks a turning point for the group, as it is their first anime theme as a three-member unit. Former member Karen said goodbye to the group after their last concert in Osaka on November 10, 2024. From January 2025, ClariS continues with Clara (only remaining original member) and two new additions: Elly and Anna.

The official release date in CD format will be August 20, 2025 in Japan, although the song is already available on digital platforms for early playback.


Rent-a-Girlfriend 4 continues its broadcast


After its previous three seasons aired in 2020, 2022, and 2023, the long-awaited fourth season of Rent-a-Girlfriend premiered in Japan on July 4, 2025Crunchyroll streams all seasons for international users, excluding China, Japan, and Korea.


The platform describes the story as follows:


Kinoshita Kazuya is a 20-year-old university student who was abandoned by his girlfriend after only a month. Hurt and resentful, he decides to turn to a bridal rental service. There he meets Mizuhara Chizuru, a beautiful girl with a charming smile. After a simple rented appointment... something true begins to be born. With a new opening and a renewed line-up, ClariS once again stands out as one of the references of anisong in this summer season.
