Girls & Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! announces premiere

The official website of the four-part film project based on the manga Girls und Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu!, a spin-off of the popular Girls und Panzer franchise, has unveiled a new trailer, promotional illustration and release dates for the films.



The films will be released in Japan on December 26, 2025January 30March 6 and April 10 of the following year 2026.



Creative team and production behind it


The anime is directed by Masami Shimoda (known for his work on Girls und Panzer and Girls und Panzer das Finale) under the P.A. Works and Actas studios. The general supervision is in the hands of Takahiko Usui. The scripts are the responsibility of Noboru Kimura, while the original character designs are once again the work of Humikane Shimada and Isao Sugimoto, with collaboration from Takeshi Nogami. Sugimoto is also in charge of character design for the animation.


In the musical section, Shirō Hamaguchi returns as composer, while the sound direction is by Takayuki Yamaguchi, with sound effects supervised by Yasumasa Koyama. Distribution will be handled by Showgate. The original cast of the franchise will reprise their roles in these new installments.


Context and current state of the franchise


Maruko Nii's original manga was first published in 2013 in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine. It currently has 23 volumes, and number 24 will hit bookstores on August 21, 2025. The story follows the day-to-day life of Ooarai's women's team and their teammates. The Girls und Panzer television anime premiered in October 2012 with a 12-episode season, followed by the film released in November 2015.


In addition, the series continues with the film saga Girls und Panzer das Finale, made up of six films. The first premiered in December 2017, encompassing a winter battle between new schools. The second installment arrived in June 2019, showing the final showdown between Ooarai and BC Freedom High School, as well as matches between other academies.


The third film was screened in March 2021, with the emergence of six new schools on three distinct fronts, and the fourth was released in October 2023, showing decisive battles and the rivalry between Kuromorimine and St. Gloriana. For now, no details have been given about the upcoming fifth and sixth films in the series.
