The anime
adaptation of Satoru Noda's Golden Kamuy manga
is preparing to say goodbye to the public with its final chapter in January
2026. However, before reaching the denouement, the franchise will release a
special two-part animation covering the arc titled "Sapporo Beer
Factory", and which will be screened exclusively in theaters
in Japan on October 10 and 31, 2025.
This arc
will function as a prologue to the final chapter of the TV
anime, and a teaser trailer has already been released along
with a key illustration that features the main characters in intense action
poses.
A
prologue full of action and tensions
In the
promotional poster, Hijikata can be seen wielding a katana and
a shotgun, Lieutenant Tsurumi pointing his pistol, Asirpa with
his characteristic bow, Sugimoto ready for battle, and Ogata with
his rifle at the ready. The dramatic style of the art reflects the growing
tension towards the climax of the series.
The arch's
official theme song will be performed by Awich × ALI under the
title "Ougon no Achira" (The Golden Beyond),
promising a powerful sonic atmosphere to accompany this emotionally charged
story.

The anime
series is directed by Shizutaka Sugahara at the Brains
Base studio, with Noboru Takagi in charge of the

original manga was published by Shueisha in Weekly
Young Jump magazine from August 2014 to April 2022, and the English

A
journey through survival and greed
Golden
Kamuy tells
the story of Saichi "the Immortal" Sugimoto, a veteran of
the Russo-Japanese War who struggles to survive in the midst of the gold rush
in Hokkaido. His life takes a turn when he discovers a map that leads him to
the lost treasure of the Ainu. But he's not the only one on the
trail: renegade soldiers, ruthless criminals, and deadly enemies won't hesitate
to kill for that gold.
Together
with Asirpa, a young Ainu with great skills, Sugimoto must face the
extreme conditions of northern Japan and a ruthless race for survival. Will
the "immortal" be able to defeat his enemies before the last bullet
is fired?
