Kadokawa Publishing House officially
announced that the popular light novel series Kusunoki's
Garden of Gods (Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei), written
by Enju, will have a TV anime adaptation in 2026. The
announcement was accompanied by a promotional illustration that
already gives a glimpse of the magical and spiritual atmosphere of the work.
Celebration
with special illustrations
To
commemorate the announcement, both ox, original illustrator of the
novels, and Akira Anzai, responsible for the manga adaptation,
shared exclusive commemorative illustrations. The images, published
by Kadokawa, capture the tranquil and mystical essence of the Kusunoki
universe.
A story
of spirits and relaxation
Yen
Press, which
publishes the work in English, describes the story like this: Deep in the
countryside, Minato Kusunoki inherits a terrifying house infested with evil
spirits... or at least it was, until their incredible skill drove them out
completely. Now, a peculiar procession of gods begins to settle in the purified
house. Surrounded by these deities as unique as they are strange, Minato spends
his days in relaxation and spiritual conviviality. What other surprises will
this new life have in store for you?
A
constantly growing success
The story
began in Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2021 and shortly after
in Kakuyomu, in December of the same year. Kadokawa published
the first volume in November 2021, with illustrations by ox.
The tenth volume will be released on July 17, 2025.
Meanwhile, Akira Anzai's manga adaptation began on ComicWalker in
November 2021. The first compilation volume was published in August 2022 and
the fourth came out on December 26 of the same year.
