The
official website of the anime Osananajimi to wa LoveCom ni Naranai ("It's
not possible to have a romantic comedy with a childhood friend") revealed
on Monday that voice actress Rin Kusumi (Hiyori in Slow
Loop) will play Shio Minamo, a character who is described
as carefree and very popular at school.
In
addition, a new promotional image was presented with Shio as
the protagonist and the phrase: "We are still childhood
friends". This illustration corresponds to the third visual
teaser of the anime.
A story
that promises love entanglements
The
original manga, written by Shinya Misu, has been published
since March 2022 on the digital platform Magazine
Pocket of the Kodansha publishing house. The animated adaptation is
being produced by the Tezuka Productions studio and is
scheduled for release sometime in 2026 in Japan. At the
moment, no more members of the cast or production team have been announced.

The story
follows Eeyuu, a high school student who faces a very peculiar
dilemma: his two childhood friends, Shio and Akari,
have become too cute. Although they don't show romantic intentions, Eeyuu can't
help but see them with different eyes... which causes him great embarrassment.
But the girls also hide their own secrets. A romantic comedy with a
love triangle full of confusions, sweetness and contradictory
feelings. Because there's nothing like a childhood friend!
