During its
panel at Anime Expo 2025, VIZ Media unveiled a new
trailer, promotional image, and details of the voice cast of the highly
anticipated Rooster Fighter anime. In addition, it was confirmed
that the series will premiere in the spring of 2026, that is,
between March and June in Spanish time (UTC+2).
Based on
the peculiar manga by Shu Sakuratani, Rooster Fighter presents
us with a rooster who fights giant monsters to protect
humanity. Although his enemies are over ten stories tall, nothing is bigger
than his brave heart and his rallying cry: cock-a-doodle-doo!
High-level
cast and production
The new
promotional image was accompanied by the presentation of new voices for
the anime: Tomohiro Ono will play Keisuke and Mitsuaki
Kanuka will play Morio. These are in addition to the
already confirmed cast, which includes:
- Kenta Miyake as Keiji (the
main rooster)
- Mariko
Honda as Elizabeth
- Shiori
Izawa as Piyoko
The
direction is in charge of Daisuke Suzuki (D4DJ All Mix)
at the SANZIGEN studio, with Hiroshi Seko (WIND
BREAKER) as series composer and Joseph Chou (Tower
of God) as producer.
An
absurd but irresistible promise
With a mix
of over-the-top action and absurd comedy, Rooster
Fighter is shaping up to be one of the most extravagant titles of the
coming year. VIZ Media officially publishes the manga in English and describes
it as the story of the "neighborhood rooster who becomes humanity's
greatest defender." Will this unusual feathered hero manage to win the
hearts of the public? The answer will come in 2026.
