In an
exciting reveal during the Frieren: Beyond the Journey panel
at Anime Expo 2025, it was announced that the second season of Frieren:
Beyond Journey's End will officially stream on Crunchyroll simultaneously
with its premiere in Japan, scheduled for January 2026.

news at Anime Expo 2025
The
announcement was made during a special event that was attended by the
production team, including Chiaki Kobayashi, the Japanese voice of
Stark, producer Yuichiro Fukushi and series composer Evan
Call. The guests shared their experiences working on this series that
conquered fans and won several awards at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, such as
Best Director for Keiichiro Saito, Best Background Art, Best Drama
and Best Supporting Character for Fern.

Based on
the award-winning manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa
Abe, the series is directed by Keiichiro Saito (BOCCHI
THE ROCK!) at MADHOUSE studio. The series is composed
by Tomohiro Suzuki (One-Punch Man), the character
design is the work of Reiko Nagasawa (takt op. Destiny)
and the music is composed by Evan Call (Violet Evergarden).
Synopsis
of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
After the
group of heroes vanquished the Demon King and restored peace, they each
returned to a solitary life. Over the generations, the elf mage Frieren faces
human mortality. Now, he accepts a new apprentice and vows to fulfill the
wishes of his old friends. In his search, he questions whether an elven mind
can accept the nature of life and death. Crunchyroll will offer the series in
Japanese with subtitles and dubbing, allowing fans to enjoy the continuation of
this acclaimed story.
