Taro
Sakamoto and
his unique group of allies are back! The second part of the Sakamoto
Days anime is now available on Netflix, and it is
accompanied by a new opening sequence that has been revealed in its uncredited version.
An
opening full of style and energy
The new
opening features the song "Method", performed by the
group Kroi, a Japanese band known for fusing funk, rock and soul.
This animation stands out for its dynamism, visual rhythm and an aesthetic that
perfectly reflects the contrast between Sakamoto's quiet life and his violent
past.
The team
behind the comeback
The series
is directed by Masaki Watanabe (Bartender) under the
production of the TMS Entertainment studio. The series is
composed by Taku Kishimoto (BLUE LOCK), while the
character design is in the hands of Yo Moriyama, director of MEGALOBOX.
The soundtrack is composed by Yuki Hayashi, recognized for his work
on My Hero Academia.
A story
of redemption and violence
VIZ
Media publishes
the official version of the manga in English and describes the plot as follows:
Since leaving the world of crime, Sakamoto has led a quiet
life tending to a neighborhood store with his wife and daughter. It has gained
some weight, but peace seems to last... until an old acquaintance appears with
an offer impossible to refuse: return to the world of assassins or die.
The story
mixes action, comedy and a narrative marked by the protagonist's past,
promising intense confrontations while balancing his new family life with the
dangers of the underworld. With this new installment, Sakamoto Days reaffirms
itself as one of the most original bets of current action anime.
