Shueisha's Cocohana magazine revealed in its September issue that mangaka Mihona Fujii will release a new work titled Shukujo no Jōken (translated as A Lady's Conditions). This new series will debut in the next edition of the magazine, available on August 28, and is a short-lived romantic comedy.

A long-awaited return

Fujii is widely recognized for her iconic manga GALS!, which was serialized in Ribon magazine between 1998 and 2002. The work consisted of 10 compilation volumes published by Shueisha, and all were published in English by CMX Manga.

The popularity of GALS! led to the production of an animated adaptation under the title Super GALS!, which ran for 52 episodes and premiered in 2001. This series was originally distributed by ADV Films in six DVD volumes between 2003 and 2004, and later re-released in full collections in 2005, 2007, 2010, and 2016.

An active and constant trajectory

In November 2019, Mihona Fujii resumed her universe with the sequel GALS!! (this time with two exclamation points), published on Shueisha's Manga me app. This sequel concluded in December 2022, with its fifth and final volume published in March 2023.

With the release of Shukujo no Jōken, fans of Mihona Fujii will be able to enjoy a new romantic proposal that promises to maintain the fresh and entertaining style that has always characterized the author.
