year's 14th issue of Young Animal magazine, published by Hakusensha last
Friday, July 11, it was announced that the manga Rock is a Lady's
Modesty (Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite), by Hiroshi
Fukuda, will go on hiatus "for a while". The publisher did not
specify a resumption date.
The series
debuted in October 2022 in Young Animal magazine, and to date has seven
compilation volumes, the most recent released on March 28. In
addition, the publisher Yen Press has licensed the manga and
plans to publish the first volume in English during the month of September
of this year.
A
youthful story between rock and elegance
The plot of
this manga takes place in an all-girls school, where beautiful,
refined, and upper-class young women from all over Japan meet. The
protagonist, Lilisa Suzunomiya, adopts a lifestyle in accordance
with her new status as heiress to a real estate tycoon, after her mother's new
marriage. As part of this change, he abandons his guitar and his love of rock.
However, his passion is reborn when he meets a talented drummer who
also attends the same school.
Anime
adaptation and its recent broadcast
The story
best known for the manga itself, also received an anime adaptation that
premiered on April 3 and had a total of 13 episodes.
