The film
adaptation of Uoto's 100 METERS manga is set to
hit Japanese theaters next month. Ahead of its release, a new character
trailer has been revealed showcasing the main racers in the story,
along with a series of individual posters highlighting the
five protagonists.

Going
from manga to the big screen
The
original manga was published between November 2018 and
August 2019 in Kodansha's digital magazine Magazine
Pocket, compiling a total of five volumes. The film is directed
by Kenji Iwaisawa at the Rock 'n' Roll Museum studio,
with Keisuke Kojima in charge of character design and
animation direction, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi in music
composition.

GKIDS will
bring 100 METERS to theaters in North America in October. The
story follows Togashi, a track prodigy who wins every 100-meter
race effortlessly. In sixth grade he meets Komiya, a transfer
student with great determination but little technique. By training him, Togashi
gives him a new purpose: to win at all costs. Over the years, the
two meet again as rivals on the court, ready to show who they really are.
