The second
season of Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits, based on the
light novel series written by Midori Yuma and illustrated
by Laruha, has revealed its first trailer and
a new promotional image. The announcement confirms that the
premiere will take place in October 2025 in Japan.
Opening
and returning theme of lead vocals
The opening
theme, titled "Toryanse," will be performed by Nao
Toyama, who voices Aoi Tsubaki, the protagonist of the story.
The song features composition, lyrics, and arrangements by Masayoshi
Oishi, vocalist of the duo OxT, and is scheduled for release in
physical and digital formats on November 5.
A
renewed team for the continuation
In this new
season, the direction will be in charge of Joe Yoshizaki, taking
over from the first installment, with the production of the GONZO and Makaria studios. Tomoko
Konparu returns as head writer, while Hidemi Katsura joins
as character designer. Takuro Iga is back in charge of the
musical composition.
A story
between romance and the supernatural
The plot
follows Aoi, a young woman capable of seeing spirits known as ayakashi.
After the death of her grandfather, an ogre confronts her demanding payment of
an old family debt. Her proposal is unusual: marry him. Rejecting the offer,
Aoi decides to pay off the debt by working at the Tenjin-ya Inn, a
place that caters to all kinds of creatures from the spirit world.
