A franchise that continues to grow

The original series Detective Conan, also known internationally as Case Closed, began airing in January 1996 and is still active to this day. Its story revolves around Conan Edogawa, a young detective whose physical appearance was reduced to that of a child after being poisoned. Together with Kogoro Mori and his daughter Ran, he solves complex cases while searching for the group responsible for his transformation.

In addition to the YouTube campaign, TMS has released a special selection of episodes of the anime on different platforms, titled "Conan vs. The Black Organization," which includes never-before-available episodes in the U.S., with Japanese dubbing and new English dubbing.

Beyond anime: records and premieres

The most recent feature film in the franchise, Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine, premiered on July 5 in the U.S. during the Anime Expo, marking the arrival of the 26th film. On the other hand, the film 28, titled Detective Conan: Sekigan no Flashback, debuted in Japan on April 18, taking the top spot at the domestic box office.

The original manga, created by Gōshō Aoyama, began publication in Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1994, and to this day remains one of the mainstays of the mystery and detective genre in the Japanese industry.
