The
streaming platform HIDIVE announced that it will stream the
anime My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater
Dungeon, I'm Out for Revenge!, an adaptation of the light novel written
by Shisui Meikyō and illustrated by tef. The
series will be added to the company's catalog in the United States,
Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand during
the fall 2025 season.
Release
date and special event
The anime
will debut in Japan on October 3, 2025 through the Tokyo
MX, MBS, and BS11 channels. As a prelude,
an advance screening of the first three episodes will be held
on September 7, 2025 at the Shinjuku Piccadilly cinema
in Tokyo.

What is anime about?
The story
follows Light, who after being betrayed and abandoned in the
dangerous Abyss, discovers the hidden power of his magical
ability Unlimited Gacha. What once seemed useless becomes his
greatest advantage, when he summons Mei, a level 9999 warrior. Over
the course of three years, Light builds his own kingdom in the depths of the
dungeon, surrounded by powerful allies who recognize him as the absolute
leader. His new goal is clear: to return to the surface and exact
revenge on those who betrayed him.
Background
of the work
The novel
began publication in Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2020 and was
subsequently published by Hobby Japan with tef illustrations.
To date, it has 12 published volumes, the most recent released
on April 18, 2025. In addition, the work received a manga
adaptation in 2021 through Kodansha's Magazine Pocket,
which already accumulates 17 compilation volumes. The manga is
licensed in English by Seven Seas.
