CLASS
EARTH announced
earlier this year that its illustrated work Latair and the Earth Saver:
What Endangered Species Teach Us would have an anime adaptation.
Finally, it was confirmed that the short series, titled Latair the
Earth, will premiere on September 5 on NHK
Educational TV in Japan.
Production
Details
The anime
will have a total of five episodes. In addition, a trailer is now
available on the project's official YouTube channel, where you can see the
Earth fairy Latair with Kanade, the "Earth
Saver", dancing to the rhythm of the main theme of the series.
Voice Cast
- Latair will be played by Yukari
Tamura (Priscilla Barielle in Re:ZERO).
- Kanade will be voiced by Reo
Tanie (Mamekichi Maizuka in A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul
School!).
- Arab Oryx (female) will be played by Kaori
Nazuka (Nunnally in Code Geass).
- Arabic Oryx (male) will be played by Satoshi
Inomata (Shugo Hoshikawa in Anyway, I'm Falling in Love
with You.).
- Quetzal will be voiced by Hiroki
Nanami (Joka in The Apothecary Diaries).
Creative
Team
The creator
of Macross, Shoji Kawamori, will participate as
supervising producer of the series. For his part, the French illustrator Thomas
Romain will be in charge of designing the characters, based on the
original illustrations of the illustrated book.
