The anime
adaptation of the fantasy and romantic comedy light novel Pass the
Monster Meat, Milady! presented a new commemorative illustration of
the summer season. The image shows protagonists Melphiera and Aristide enjoying
a picnic with shaved ice cream while watching a fireworks show under the summer
night sky. The anime will premiere in October 2025 in Japan.

In the
illustration, Aristide is dressed in an elegant vest and trousers befitting an
aristocrat, while Melphiera wears a showy yellow ball gown. Both are on a
picnic blanket, creating a festive and romantic atmosphere with fireworks
lighting up the background.
From
light novel to anime
Pass the
Monster Meat, Milady! began
to be published in November 2019 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro platform.
Subsequently, the Kodansha publishing house released the work
under the Kodansha Ranobe Books imprint. The story is written
by Kanata Hoshi and illustrated by Peperon, while
the manga adaptation is by Chika Mizube, also published in English
by Kodansha USA.

The
animated version is directed by Mutsumi Takeda at Asahi
Production studio. Keiichiro Ochi is in charge of the
composition of the series, Masato Kato designs the characters
and Takaaki Nakahashi composes the soundtrack.
What is
the story about?
The plot
follows Melphiera Marchalrayd, a noblewoman who possesses an
unusual taste: monster meat. Although this protein is frowned upon by society,
she believes that it can be transformed into exquisite dishes and dreams of
changing the perception of the kingdom. However, as she struggles to find an
ideal companion, her destiny takes an unexpected turn when she meets Galbraith's
dreaded "Bloodthirsty Duke."
