Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine confirmed that the manga Anastacia no Ikita 9-kakan, known internationally as The Last 9 Days of Anastasia and created by Ryōsuke Asakura, will publish its last chapter on September 12 (Spanish time) in its next issue.

History marked by tragedy

Set in a fantasy world, the plot presents a millennia-old conflict between the Church of Light and the Church of Darkness. When the former is about to be defeated, she decides to magically summon a heroine to change her fate. However, this powerful warrior carries an inevitable prophecy: she will die in just nine days. Accompanied by a priestess, she embarks on a brief but decisive journey to save her people.

A year and a half of publication

The series debuted on Monthly Shonen Gangan in February 2024, and to date has two compilation volumes, the most recent published on February 12. This closure will mark the end of a work that combined dark fantasy with a touch of drama and action.

The Path of Asakura

Ryōsuke Asakura is also recognized for works such as Shikizaki Shimai wa Abakaretai, which he completed in April 2023, and Val x Love, completed in March of the same year. The latter even featured an anime adaptation released in October 2019, licensed by Sentai Filmworks and streamed by HIDIVE, in addition to its Blu-ray release in November 2020.
