The Girls
Band Cry franchise took another step in its expansion with the
official announcement of a film in production. The project was
confirmed on Monday along with a visual starring Nina Iseri,
although for now the release date has not been revealed.
The
original series had 13 episodes broadcast in Japan between
April and June 2024, produced by Toei Animation. Its combination of
music, youth drama and animation caught the attention of both fans of the genre
and new viewers, consolidating the work as one of the surprises of last year.
Creative
team behind the franchise
The anime
was directed by Kazuo Sakai, with Jukki Hanada in
charge of the composition of the series. Nari Teshima was in
charge of character design, while Kenji Tamai was in charge of
the soundtrack. The film's announcement hints that the original creative team
could be involved again.
