The
action-comedy manga Kill Blue surprised fans by announcing
that it will feature an anime adaptation scheduled to premiere in 2026.
The announcement was accompanied by a first teaser, a promotional
illustration and the confirmation of the main team behind the project.
Production
team revealed
The series
will be directed by Hiro Kaburagi, known for his work on Kimi
ni Todoke, under the production of the animation studio CUE. The
character designs will be in charge of Miho Daidoji, who will bring
the peculiar aesthetic of the work to life.
First visual preview
The
promotional art shows Jūzō Ōgami, the protagonist of the story,
dressed in a white school uniform, carrying a backpack under his left arm and
wielding a semi-automatic pistol in his right hand. Her appearance stands out
for her thick-framed glasses and two-tone hair, divided between black and
white.

author of Kuroko no Basket, began publishing Kill Blue in Weekly
Shonen Jump magazine in April 2023. The work recently concluded with
the release of its final chapter, accumulating to date 10 compilation
volumes in Japan, while volume 11 will arrive in bookstores on September

Synopsis
of Kill Blue
The story
follows Jūzō Ōgami, a legendary 39-year-old assassin who has never
failed a mission. However, after eliminating a powerful organization, he is
attacked by a mysterious wasp that knocks him unconscious. When he wakes up, he
discovers that his body has been rejuvenated to that of a 13-year-old teenager.
Forced by his boss, he must infiltrate a high school, facing a student life
full of chaos, eccentric classmates, and constant threats. Will it be able to
regain its original form or will it be removed before it succeeds?
