The
official website of Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time, an
adaptation of Kogitsunemaru's light novel, announced that the
series will have a second season. The news was accompanied by a
commemorative illustration made by Tarō Sasakama, who was also in
charge of the manga version.
The
return of the alchemist
The first
season of the series premiered on January 1 and was available for streaming
through Crunchyroll. Now, after the good reception of the fans, it
is confirmed that the project will move forward with new adventures for its
protagonist.
From
light novel to expanding franchise
The
original work, titled in Japanese Izure Saikyō no Renkinjutsu-shi?,
tells the story of an alchemist who seeks to become the best of all time.
Thanks to its mix of fantasy, humor, and a protagonist who breaks the rules of
his world, the franchise has gained popularity in Japan and abroad.
Expectations
for Season 2
Although
dates and details about the staff or plot of the sequel have not yet been
revealed, the confirmation alone has been enough to ignite the hype. Fans are
waiting to see how the protagonist's path evolves and how far he can go with
his alchemical abilities.
