The
publisher Hakusensha he announced that the manga Yona
of the Dawn (Akatsuki no Yona), work of the author Mizuho
Kusanagi, will come to an end in the second 2026 edition of the
magazine Hana to Yume, which will be published on December
19, 2025. With this, a serialization that extended for more than will
conclude 16 years.
The series
debuted in 2009 and it tells the story of Yona, a
red-haired princess who loses her kingdom after the betrayal of the man she
loves. Next to his protector Hak, begins a journey of growth and
fights to recover his destiny and his throne.
A legacy
of more than four decades of chapters
To date,
the work has 46 compilation volumes, and the volume 47 it
will go on sale on February 20, 2026. In june 2024,
Kusanagi confirmed that the manga had entered its final arc. The author is also
known for titles such as Mugen Spiral, Game X Rush and NG
Life.
Yona of the Dawn it inspired an anime adaptation of 24 episodes in 2014, followed by three OVAs between 2015 and 2016, produced by Pierrot. The franchise also had multiple stage adaptations, including one musical work in July 2024 in tokyo.
