This Thursday it was announced that the romantic comedy manga Marika-chan wa Kōkando wa Bukkowareteiru (Marika's Love Meter Malfunction), work of Rin Komugi, will have an anime adaptation for television that will premiere in 2026.

The plot follows an unpopular protagonist who, after wishing on a shooting star, gains the ability to see people's "love meters", like in a dating simulator. However, when looking at her childhood friend, Marika- He discovers that his meter is so low that it seems broken, even though she is nice to him. Is it real hate or a system failure?
