During the celebration of Godzilla Fest 2025, made in the Tokyo Dome City Hall, the company Toho he officially announced that the new film directed by Takashi Yamazaki it will be titled Godzilla -0.0 (Godzilla Minus Zero). The announcement coincided with him Godzilla Day, date that commemorates the original premiere of the first film in 1954.
A new chapter in the legend of kaiju
Yamazaki, who is also responsible for the script, production and visual effects supervision, presented the official logo of the project, drawn with a rough brushstroke design similar to that of Godzilla -1.0. According to Toho, Yamazaki himself was the one who wrote the title by hand, continuing with the artistic aesthetic that characterized the previous installment.
So far, no details have been revealed about the plot or release date from the film, which has aroused curiosity about the meaning of the term “Minus Zero”. The mystery about its concept promises to keep alive the expectation around this new interpretation within the universe of Godzilla.
