The King of the Monsters franchise is ready to break its own rules. During the Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2025, TOHO animation he dropped an informative nuclear bomb when announcing one new Godzilla anime series. This project promises to mark an innovative chapter after seventy years of history, presenting a premise that has never been seen in the saga.
A human protagonist with the power of a Kaiju
The most shocking aspect of the advertisement is its protagonist: a boy who inherits the power of Godzilla. It is the first time in franchise history that the main character will be a hybrid capable of unleashing the monster's strength. The revealed concept art shows the young man preparing to release the feature radioactive heat ray, posing the official question: "Is that boy human or is he Godzilla?".
International production equipment
Production is carried out by TOHO animation in collaboration with Studio Orange (known for Godzilla Singular Point and BEASTARS) and the Thai studio Igloo Studio. Keiji OtaTOHO's "Chief Godzilla Officer" described the play as an opportunity to explore the fear and hope of the current era through this new character.
