The war is
far from over, but reinforcements finally have an arrival date. Kadokawa this
Friday he revealed a new visual and the first promotional video for Saga
of Tanya the Evil II (Youjo Senki II), the long-awaited second
season of the anime. The announcement confirmed that the series will officially
premiere in 2026, breaking the silence after its initial
announcement in June 2021.
Although

change in leadership. Takayuki Yamamoto (episode director
at My Hero Academia) assumes the position of Director,
replacing Yutaka Uemura, who directed the first season. The rest of the

Context
of the franchise
Based on the light novels of Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki, the franchise began its anime adaptation in January 2017, followed by a hit film in 2019. The story follows a young girl on the front lines who harbors the soul of a ruthless Japanese wage earner, fighting to survive in a wartime world devastated by war.
