The story of the Wolves of Mibu continues its relentless march. The production team of the second season of Blue Miburo (Ao no Miburo), based on the manga by Tsuyoshi Yasuda, released its second full promotional video on Monday. The trailer confirmed that the series will premiere in Japan on December 20, just a year after the start of the first season.
The trailer offered a preview of the songs that will define this new stage. The opening theme, "Blue Noise," will be performed by Ryosuke Yamada, while the closing theme, "Homatsu" (Ephemeral), will be performed by Soushi Sakiyama.
In addition, six new cast members were announced, highlighting the arrival of crucial historical figures from the Bakumatsu period:
- Kazuki Ura (Yoichi Isagi in Blue Lock) as Hayashi Shintaro
- Rikuya Yasuda as Asano Totaro
- Kosuke Takaguchi as Ozeki Yashiro
- Ryo Sugisaki as Ozeki Masajiro
- Mitsuki Saiga (Yelena in Shingeki no Kyojin) as Katsura Kogoro
- Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Sakamoto Ryoma.
Previously, Taku Yashiro had been confirmed as Yamazaki Susumu.
Staff & Production
The main team returns to the Maho Film studio. Kumiko Habara (I'm Standing on 1,000,000 Lives) directs the season, with scripts by Kenta Ihara and character designs by Yuko Oba and Miyako Nishida. The music is once again composed by Yuki Hayashi.
