Betrayal
comes at a price, and Elizabeth Leiston is ready to collect it with
interest. The REMOW company announced on Friday that the light
novel series A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even (Buchigire
Reijō wa Hōfuku wo Chikaimashita) will have a television anime adaptation
that will premiere in July 2026.
Along with
the announcement, a promotional video and visual image was revealed that
introduces us to the protagonist, Elizabeth Leiston (also
known as Ellie Leis), who will be played by the renowned Saori
Ōnishi (Aiz Wallenstein in DanMachi).
The story
follows Elizabeth, a perfect lady destined to be queen, whose fiancé breaks off
their engagement publicly and imprisons her on false charges. Tired of serving
a country that betrayed her, she decides to use seven powerful magical
grimoires to destroy her own homeland. As the alternate title says: "The
furious princess decided to take revenge."
