If you've
seen ads on YouTube for mobile games that look suspiciously
like Jujutsu Kaisen but have strange names, be careful.
On December 25, the Jujutsu Kaisen Production Committee issued
an official statement warning that they will take "strict measures"
against the proliferation of applications that use their intellectual property
without permission.
Although
the statement does not give specific names, all clues point to one game in
particular: Domain Duel (known in Japanese as Tokkyuu
Jujutsushi). This app, distributed on the App Store by a
company called Hongkong Mingmei Carpet Manufacture International Group
Limited, has been circulating advertisements with animations copied from
the anime.
The
brazenness is such that, although the game's description avoids mentioning the
franchise, the app's icon shows a character identical to Sukuna.
Within the game, users have reported the use of terms from the series such as
"Domain Expansion" and "Unlimited Void", in
addition to stolen character designs.
The
committee has confirmed that these applications are not licensed and constitute
copyright infringement, so they are already processing their
removal from all platforms. Fans are advised not to download these titles, as
they are usually quick scams designed to raise money and disappear.
