The war
between the blood of the Oni and the Momotaro is far from over. Just hours
after the final episode of its first season aired on Friday, distribution
company REMOW officially announced on Saturday that the Tougen
Anki anime will have a sequel titled Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon
Falls Arc.
The
announcement was accompanied by a trailer subtitled in English and a visual
image that highlights the character Hayate Todoroki, hinting that
he will have a crucial role in this new stage. The first season, which
adapted Yura Urushibara's manga, concluded after 24
action-packed episodes, having begun airing on July 11 and entering the
"Nerima Arc" in October.
Production
and Staff
The core
team at Studio Hibari is expected to continue to lead the
project. The first season was directed by Ato Nonaka and
scripted by Yukie Sugawara. The character design was in charge
of Ryoko Amisaki, while the powerful soundtrack was composed
by Kohta Yamamoto (known for Attack on Titan: The
Final Season).
In the
musical section, the series stood out for songs performed by renowned bands
such as THE ORAL CIGARETTES, BAND-MAID, CHOGAKUSE and Elli.

For
international fans, the first season streamed on multiple platforms,
