About Nippon Sangoku

The story is set in the near future where Japanese civilization has collapsed after a combination of nuclear wars, natural disasters, and systemic corruption. The nation has fragmented into three warring superpowers, ushering in a new "Three Kingdoms Period."

In this chaos, Aoteru Misumi, a young man with no military lineage but formidable ambition and a tongue of silver, seeks to reunify the nation and end the bloodshed through intellect and oratory.

Ikka Matsuki's original manga began serialization on the MangaONE app in November 2021. The work has amassed 700,000 copies in circulation and won fifth place in the 2023 Manga Taisho Awards.
