When the
line to be a hero is too long, you have to get creative. The light novel series
with the kilometer-long title Megami "Isekai Tensei Nani ni
Naritai Desu ka" Ore "Yūsha no Rokkotsu de" (Goddess:
"What do you want to become when you reincarnate?" Me: "On a
Hero's Rib") has officially inspired a Megami Isekai Tensei anime that
will premiere this April.
The
production of this absurd fantasy is in charge of the Qzil.la and S.o.K.
studios, under the direction of Yasufumi Soejima (Ensemble
Stars!).
To celebrate the news of the anime, artists tied to the franchise, Mebaru, Kopo, and Kumanomata (author of Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle and original character designer for the anime), drew special commemorative illustrations.

Isekai Tensei Anime Details
The premise
breaks with the usual tropes: in this alternate world, one can choose their
form when reincarnating. However, popular options like "Demon King"
or "Hero with Trap and Harem Abilities" have waiting lists of up to
50,000 years. As a result, the protagonist decides to reincarnate repeatedly in
strange ways to skip the line: from a hero's rib, to a hermit
crab or a vegetable.
The
creative team includes Zipper Sojo in the scripts and Miki
Matsumoto (Summer Time Rendering) in the character design. The
music will be composed by an extensive team led by Yuta Uraki.
