The story
of the isekai's most tenacious librarian gets a massive visual update. It has
been officially announced that the fourth season of the anime
Ascendance of a Bookworm (Honzuki no Gekokujo: Part 3 - The
Archduke's Adopted Daughter) will begin airing on April 4. The
great news is that the production is in the hands of WIT STUDIO (Spy
x Family, Attack on Titan T3), marking a significant change in
animation.
The series
will air for two consecutive courses (approximately six
months) on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV. Along with the announcement, a new
promotional video and key visual inspired by the "Schutzaria Night"
was revealed, showing Rozemyne and Ferdinand in
a magical forest.

In addition
to the studio change, it was confirmed that the opening theme, titled "Pages," will
be performed by the female vocal group Little Glee Monster.
The new
visual portrays a symbolic moment in the plot: Rozemyne with an expression of
firm determination and Ferdinand watching her from behind. On the ground, the
nightscape of Schutzaria Night is reflected, suggesting the challenges they
will face when collecting magical ingredients.

deep meaning of the new art and the transition of history:

reflects the noble society that the story enters in Part 3, as well as the main

the fruit Ruelle... During the full moon at the end of autumn, known as the
Schutzaria Night, the flowers scatter under the moonlight and the fruit begins
to grow."

is wearing noble attire here, a change from the High Bishop costume seen in the
teaser... Rozemyne seems anxious as she enters the noble society for the first
time, while Ferdinand watches over her with a somewhat stern look and attitude.
I think this visual beautifully captures the relationship between the two. And
the line 'Even though we're apart, we live in the same pages of history' is

The
franchise began its journey on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website
in 2013, ending its web publication in 2017. The light novel series,
illustrated by You Shiina, concluded with its 33rd volume in
December 2023, accumulating more than 13 million copies in
circulation.
The
previous three seasons were produced by studio Ajia-do between
2019 and 2022. The story follows a book-loving college student who is
reincarnated as Myne, a soldier's daughter in a world where books are a luxury,
deciding to create them herself with the knowledge of her past life.
