The
psychological terror of losing everything in a second will make its way to
television. Kadokawa has officially confirmed that the FX
Fighter anime Kurumi-chan (FX Senshi Kurumi-chan) is in
production and will premiere in 2026. This adaptation of Demunyan's cult
manga will bring to the screen the story of a college girl caught in the spiral
of revenge and high-risk gambling in the foreign exchange market.
The series
will be produced by the Passione studio (Mieruko-chan),
under the direction of Yuki Ogawa and scripts by Kenta
Ihara (Tomodachi Game). To illustrate the brutal nature of the
work, two visuals were revealed: one "normal" and one of "forced
loss cutting", showing the protagonist in total despair.
Reactions
to the FX Fighter Kurumi-chan anime
The
announcement was accompanied by emotional messages from the creators and the
protagonist, who highlighted the rawness of the story behind its adorable
aesthetic:
Demunyan (Original Creator):
"I am deeply moved. This story about FX was born out of my own negative
energy, but I wonder what kind of anime it will become. I can't wait to see
it."
Daisuki Tansan (Manga Artist):
"Being able to deliver the work in this new form is entirely thanks to
every reader who supported us. The production team is working with great
passion, and I'm sure it will be a work full of new unique charms of
animation."
Aina Suzuki (Voiced by Kurumi Fukuga):
"When I read the original work, I learned what FX really is for the first
time and realized how incredibly scary it can be. Although the illustrations
are extremely cute, the content is, in a sense, violent... In a world where a
movement of only 0.1 yen determines whether you laugh or cry, whether it is
heaven or hell."
Voice
cast
The
protagonist will be played by an actress who is an expert in intense
characters:
- Aina Suzuki as Kurumi Fukuga
Known for being the evil Jashin-chan in Dropkick on My Devil! and Mari Ohara in Love Live! Sunshine!!.
