The
strangest and most hopeful leak of the year has come from China. A government
report has accidentally confirmed that a new Naruto animated project is
in active production. The information came not from Shonen Jump or Studio
Pierrot, but from the official website of Lijin County, which celebrated the
industrial development of its region.
Chinese Government Reveals Intensive Work on New Naruto Animated Project
According
to the document, studio Huahan (Dongying) Animation Co., Ltd., a
South Korean-funded but China-based company, has been "working intensively
to meet deadlines for multiple animation projects, including orders for One
Piece and Naruto."
The mention
of "meeting deadlines" is key. Recall that the famous 4
episodes of the 20th anniversary were delayed indefinitely in 2023 and
TV Tokyo's promise to release them before March 2025 was broken without
explanation. This leak suggests that, finally, the gears are moving.
Connection
to the One Piece Remake?
Huahan
Animation's credibility skyrockets with a promotional video circulating on
WeChat, where production materials are seen that match the long-awaited remake
of One Piece (The One Piece) and even designs by Akaza from
Demon Slayer. This confirms that the studio is an outsourcing giant
for Japan's largest franchises.
Will these
be the lost episodes of the anniversary or are we facing the production of the
second part of Boruto? The only thing that is certain is that
ninjas are making a comeback.
