About Hotaru

The story
follows Satoko, the eldest daughter of a noble family, who suffers
from heart disease that shortens her life expectancy. Despite rejecting
marriage proposals so as not to be a burden, her life takes a turn when she is
kidnapped by mercenaries. One of them is Shinpei Gotou, a legendary
assassin hired to kill her.
With no options
and looking to survive, Satoko makes a risky bet: she feigns love at first
sight and proposes to the killer. Unexpectedly, Gotou agrees to protect her,
starting an escape where Satoko struggles to maintain her lie in the face of a
man as dangerous as he is mysterious.
