The knight in the
flashy armor is riding again this summer. During the Overlap Bunko
All-Star Gathering Special 2026 Part 1 held on Sunday, the teaser
promo video and a new key visual for the second season of
the Skeleton Knight in Another World anime (Gaikotsu
Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai, and Odekakechū) were revealed. The series
confirmed its premiere for July 2026.
One of the most
celebrated news was the return of Norwegian singer PelleK, who
performed the iconic opening theme of the first season and will return to be in
charge of the opening theme for this sequel. In the directing section, Katsumi
Ono takes the helm, this time under the production of Aura
Studio.

Equipment Renewal
Although key
members such as character designer Tōru Imanishi, monster
designer Yoshihiro Nagamori and sound director Satoshi
Motoyama return, the production presents significant changes in its
staff:
- Toshizo Nemoto takes over the composition of the series,
replacing Takeshi Kikuchi.
- Chisa Shibata is the new sub-character designer, in place
of Hideki Inoue.
- Jia Fang Lu takes the position of art director, taking
over from Kenta Tsuboi.
- Harue Ono joins as a key color artist and Tomotaka
Aoki as CGI director.
- Yasuhiro Uema joins as an animation producer.
About the
franchise
Based on Ennki
Hakari's light novels with illustrations by KeG, the
series debuted in anime format in April 2022. The story follows a player who
wakes up in the world of his favorite video game with the appearance of his
avatar: a skeleton in powerful armor. In order not to scare people, he decides
to live as a traveling mercenary, although his tendency to help the weak always
gets him into trouble.
